VINCI Airports Deploys AgileAssets Solution in Six Countries

Optimizing airfield pavement management helps ensure passenger safety and mobility.

July 29, 2021 – VINCI Airports, a leading global airport operator, recently achieved a milestone in its performance-driven operations strategy by deploying an AgileAssets integrated asset management solution to manage airside pavements at eight airports in six countries. Using the new software solution, VINCI Airports will apply advanced analytics to improve the efficiency, timing, and cost-effectiveness of its airfield planning and maintenance operations—helping to ensure passenger safety and mobility.

This multi-city deployment is one step in VINCI Airports’ long-term plan to keep its airport infrastructure equipped to handle projected increases in air travel to surpass its pre-pandemic level of more than 255 million passengers per year at VINCI-operated locations.

The airport operator now uses the AgileAssets solution at airports in Belgrade, Serbia; Porto and Faro, Portugal; Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville, Cambodia; Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic; Salvador, Brazil; and Kobe, Japan.

In addition to strategic decision-making, the AgileAssets solution supports VINCI Airports’ day-to-day pavement maintenance operations by providing real-time data to improve the scheduling and management of work projects. VINCI Airports’ planning and maintenance teams can now collaborate more effectively because the solution comprises two integrated AgileAssets applications: Pavement Analyst™ and Maintenance Manager™. This unified approach provides a single source of data and integrated workflows to streamline the planning, management, preservation, and maintenance of pavement assets across the entire lifecycle. The AgileAssets solution operates in multiple languages, including English, Portuguese, and Japanese.

“More than 170 million road travelers benefit because of the many transportation authorities that use AgileAssets solutions to deliver safer, longer-lasting roadways on five continents,” said Pascal Laumet, PhD, Vice President of Business Development and Operations at AgileAssets. “We are proud that through VINCI Airports, those benefits now extend to air travelers, and VINCI gains the advantage of visibility into its concessions using a single-platform, fit-for-purpose system.”

With its cloud-hosted, subscription-based access to the new solution through a software-as-a-service (SaaS) deployment, VINCI Airports will also benefit from a cost-effective and scalable way to roll out the solution to three additional locations in 2022, followed by further expansion to its growing global network, currently comprising 45 airports.
