New Braunfels Bridging the Gap Between Cityworks Online Payment and Finance

The City of New Braunfels, TX implemented Cityworks PLL and Authorize.net was chosen as the online payment vendor. The City staff soon realized that there were problems when they began taking online payments. Users were not always completing the payment process correctly, which resulted in payments being made that were not reflected in Cityworks. This created reconciliation issues with Finance Dept. By default, Cityworks sends and receives certain information to the Payment vendor, but there was not enough information being captured to perform an reconciliation without considerable manual matching of payment records. We will discuss how these issues were addressed through developing a tighter integration with Authorize.net.
